WARSAW 2019 UPDATE #2
Info on registration and 31 March
March 20, 2019
Dear Participants and Friends of the WARSAW 2019 Fair,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to warmly thank you for your very enthusiastic and timely registration to participate in the 25th World Olympic Collectors’ Fair. I am pleased to announce that more than 130 participants from almost thirty countries have registered via the official website. Payments via PayPal are without major disruptions. We believe that such a great turnout will contribute to a wonderful atmosphere with every collector leaving satisfied.
Judging from the requests for tickets, the Silent Auction is promising to be a very popular event. We hope that all of you will donate tempting gifts to expand the auction’s offerings. The number of participants in the 1944 Olympic history tour is also reaching the limit.
I would especially like to thank all our Friends who last year in Los Angeles promised to journey to Warsaw. We very much appreciate you keeping your word.
From a practical standpoint, we’ve nearly exhausted the allowed table limit. There are no more than 5 to 7 tables remaining. We are awaiting the last payments from those who registered before 15 March, at which point we will be able to allot the remaining tables.
With respect to the above, we have decided to extend the deadline for booking tables and registering for the special events until 31 March 2019.
I hope that this week we will be able to send final confirmation to all those who have booked tables and registered for special events prior to the 15 March deadline. Along with these notifications we will include the standard “Table Holder Agreement” which all table holders must sign as per IOC regulations. I am certain that most of you are already familiar with this document from previous fairs.
We can also inform you that the IBIS and HILTON hotels will extend the deadline for applying the special Olympic Fair discount until 31 March 2019. Please follow the instructions on the WARSAW 2019 website for making your hotel reservations.
We encourage all participants to periodically check the Fair website for updates, especially in the final few days before the Fair begins. Practical information on shuttle connections between the Olympic Centre and hotels will be provided along with information about the organization of car parks at the Olympic Centre for those arriving by car.
Once again, thank you very much for your quick response to our call for registration. This will permit the committee to focus on organizational matters.
See You in Warsaw!
With Olympic greetings,
